LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding baseball team swept a three-game series against Principia extending their winning streak to 13 consecutive games. With the sweep, the Golden Eagles improve to 26-7 and 15-1 in conference.
EUREKA, Ill. – The Spalding University baseball team extended their win streak to 10 games after taking two games from Eureka, 12-5 and 11-4, Wednesday at Henry Sand Field in Eureka, Ill. The Golden Eagles improve to 23-7 on the season and 12-1 in conference.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Spalding University baseball team split a doubleheader against Fontbonne, winning game one ,3-2, but dropping game two, 8-7, Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. With two wins over number 6/12 ranked Webster Wednesday, the Golden Eagles went 3-1 on the week against teams ranked in the top-25 and/or receiving votes.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding baseball team opened their 2019 SLIAC conference schedule with a bang, sweeping a doubleheader from the #6/12 ranked Webster Gorloks, 9-3 and 6-5, Wednesday evening at Derby City Field. This marks the Golden Eagles fourth win this season over a unanimous top-15 team, earning wins over #4 Concordia-Chicago and #15 UW-Whitewater.

ELSAH, Ill. – Playing without All-American starting pitcher Jimi Keating for the second straight weekend, the 20th-ranked Spalding baseball team split a doubleheader at Principia Saturday afternoon to take the season series. Spalding outscored the Panthers 26-10 over three games to improve to 25-7 (12-3 SLIAC) on the season.
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The No. 19/21 ranked Golden Eagles scored four runs over the final two innings and Jimi Keating closed the door in the ninth as Spalding topped MacMurray, 4-3, Friday in Jacksonville, Ill.
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Quenton Brownlee lifted a sacrifice fly into right field allowing Blake Benz to tag and race home as the Golden Eagles topped Ramapo, 6-5, in walk-off fashion Wednesday at the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla.
Methodist pitcher Tristen Luck was the first rookie award winner and joins Iowa Wesleyan outfielder Joseph Belarde and Spalding starting pitcher, Jimi Keating, both from the SLIAC, on the first National Players of the Week award.
