May 17, 2019 MIT Advances With 5-4 Win Over Oswego State in NCAA Opener Jumping out to a 5-1 lead, the MIT baseball team has advanced into the winner's bracket following a 5-4 victory over Oswego State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night. This is the fifth NCAA Tournament appearance for the Engineers and first since the 2015 season.
May 8, 2019 MIT earns NEWMAC title and playoff berth Senior Patrick Callahan tossed a complete game and juniors Matt Johnston and Thomas Allison both homered as MIT defeated No. 6 Babson, 8-2, in the NEWMAC Tournament final on Wednesday afternoon at Govoni Field.
May 8, 2019 Callahan Leads MIT Past Babson for 8-2 Win and the NEWMAC Championship Led by a complete-game by senior pitcher Patrick Callahan (Vicksburg, Mich.), fourth-seeded MIT defeated third-seeded Babson College by an 8-2 final to capture the 2019 NEWMAC Baseball Championship. The championship is the third for MIT and the program's first since the Engineers won their second straight NEWMAC title in 2015.
May 7, 2019 Babson proves it's over when it's over Down to its final out in the tenth inning, Babson rallied for six runs to stun MIT 9-6, forcing a the NEWMC tournament to a winner-take-all game on Wednesday. Wells and Penn State Berks both advanced to the NEAC double elimination round this weekend.
