Adrian Baseball scored the only runs of the day in the bottom of the very first inning and pitchers Pierce Banks and Dugan Darnell combined on a four-hit shutout to down visiting Hope, 2-0, to clinch the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Baseball Tournament on Friday and an automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.

The Britons won the opener 3-1 while limiting the Bulldogs to four hits.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--Junior Tristin Richardson reached the 100-hit milestone on Friday to fuel nationally-ranked Adrian to an 11-3 thrashing of host Calvin in the opener of their four-game  Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association baseball series. Senior Dugan Darnell also reached 100 career hits in the second game, helping the Bulldogs to a 12-3 victory.

    FREELAND, Mich.--The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Monday named Adrian College sophomores Thomas Miller (Saline High School) and Mo Hanley (Tampa, Fla./Chamberlain HS) the MIAA Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. This marks the second time in 2019 that Bulldogs Baseball has swept the conference's weekly awards, and both Miller and Hanley make their debuts as such honorees.

    FREELAND, Mich.--Adrian College Baseball made a sweep of the weekly awards handed out by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association which were announced on Monday, as freshman Max Denny (South Lyon High School) is the MIAA Pitcher of the Week and junior Brady Wood (Frankenmuth High) is the conference's top hitter for the seven-day period ending Sunday. This signals the second career award for Wood, who also earned the honor on May 14, 2018.

Parsons, who becomes the second Bulldog in as many years to sign with a MLB club, has been assigned to the organization's rookie team the Johnson City Cardinals of the Appalachian League.
