HARTFORD, Conn. – The Keystone College baseball program will begin playing in the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday, May 17 against No. 7 Babson at 11 a.m. in the NCAA Regionals, hosted by Trinity College.

Keystone College (25-14, 14-1 CSAC)

  • The Giants captured the program's 11th-straight CSAC title and 15th-consecutive conference crown with Saturday's 5-2 win over Cairn.
  • Keystone is led by 18th-year head coach Jamie Shevchik.
  • Senior Chris Panzarella (Hazle Township, Pa./Hazleton Area) – the 2019 CSAC Player of the Year – leads the Giants with a .422 average, hitting 2 HR, 11 doubles, 2 triples with 22 stolen bases and 40 runs scored.
  • Senior Dakota McFadden (Rocky Point, NC/Heide Trask) has 12 HR and 55 RBI, hitting .387 with 12 doubles and 43 runs scored.
  • Senior Mohammed Hussein (Queens, NY/William C. Bryant) is hitting .352 with 4 HR while junior Nick Carlini (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) is batting .309 with 9 HR and 34 RBI.
  • Junior Joe Fichera (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) is hitting .337 at the leadoff spot with 1 HR, 21 RBI, 5 triples and 14 stolen bases.
  • Sophomore Nathan Hinkley (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Lucie West Centennial) – the 2019 CSAC Pitcher of the Year – has a 3.21 ERA and is 5-1 with 2 complete games and 1 save, tossing 47 2/3 innings with 41 strikeouts and 13 walks.
  • Junior Jared Rowley (Dover, Del./Dover) is 3-0 with a 4.44 ERA, throwing 46 2/3 innings with 57 strikeouts.
  • Hussein is 4-2 with a 2.42 ERA in 52 innings, striking out 45 while McFadden is 3-3 with 36 strikeouts in 52 innings.

No. 7 Babson Beavers (33-7, 15-2 NEWMAC)

  • The Beavers fell 8-2 to MIT in the NEWMAC Championship Game.
  • Babson is led by 18th-year head coach Matt Noone.
  • Babson rattled off a 16-game winning streak from March 15 – April 5 and an 8-game winning streak from April 10-19.
  • Senior Nicholas Browne leads the team with 9 home runs.
  • Junior Jake Oliger is hitting .352 with 7 HR, 49 RBI, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 15 stolen bases and 36 runs scored.
  • Junior Sean Harrington is hitting .313 with 2 homers, 34 RBI, 9 stolen bases and 6 doubles.
  • Senior Michael Genaro is 6-3 with 1 complete game and a 1.87 ERA in 72 1/3 innings with 57 strikeouts.
  • Sophomore Jordy Allard is 7-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 42 innings with 41 strikeouts
  • Sophomore Tyler Bell is 3-0 with 2 saves and a 1.64 ERA, striking out 27 and walking just 2.

Trinity College Bantams (27-7, 8-4 NESCAC)

  • The Bantams earned a Pool C at-large bid into the tournament with a 27-7 record.
  • Trinity won the 2008 NCAA D-III National Championship, going 45-1 that year.
  • Trinity is guided by 6th-year head coach Bryan Adamski.
  • Junior Matt Koperniak is hitting .380 with 4 HR, 11 doubles, 3 triples, 26 RBI, 30 runs and 19 stolen bases.
  • Junior Alex Rodriguez is hitting .312 with 2 HR, 10 doubles, 18 runs and 31 RBI.
  • Seniors Geoff Stillman and Johnny Stamatis both have 2 HR and combined for 43 RBI.
  • Freshman Cameron Crowley is 8-0 with a 2.28 ERA in 51 1/3 innings with 24 strikeouts.
  • Junior Andrew DeRoche is 6-2 with a 2.42 ERA in 48 1/3 innings.
  • Senior Erik Mohl and freshman Will Simeone have combined for 5 saves.

  • The Seahawks won their third Commonwealth Coast Conference title in the past four years with a 5-1 win over Roger Williams.
  • Salve Regina is led by 6th-year head coach Eric Cirella.
  • Senior Zach Smith is hitting .406 with 9 HR, 42 RBI, 14 doubles, 2 triples, 44 runs and 14 stolen bases.
  • Senior Tristan Dacey is batting .313 with 4 HR, 20 RBI, 4 doubles and 13 runs.
  • Freshman Sean O'Malley is hitting .287 with 3 HR, 26 RBI, 6 doubles and 18 runs scored.
  • Senior Will Ginsberg is 5-3 with 2 complete games and 2 saves in 67 1/3 innings with a 3.07 ERA and 52 strikeouts.
  • Sophomore Michael Mathews is 5-2 with a 3.96 ERA in 52 1/3 innings with 76 strikeouts.
  • Junior Patrick Maybach is 5-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 43 1/3 innings, striking out 63 and walking 16.
