The Wildcats broke through for four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, taking advantage of a pair of errors by the Huskies. Full story.
Southern Maine survived an epic battle with Ithaca in the Tuesday elimination game to meet Linfield.
Andrew Richards came out of the bullpen to throw 12 innings of relief for the Huskies, who overcame their own baserunning blunder in the top of the 13th inning to win. Chris Bernard hit an apparent two-run homer that would have given the Huskies a 6-4 lead, but failed to touch home plate and was called out on appeal. Ithaca got the tying run to third base in the bottom half of the 13th but Richards got the final batter to fly to center to seal the win.
