FREDONIA, N.Y. - Oswego State senior first baseman David Mazzullo (Rochester, N.Y.) and junior pitcher Thor Miller (Miller Place, N.Y.) have been selected as the SUNYAC Baseball Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week ending April 15, 2012.

Mazzullo had a combined eight RBI and two homeruns as the Laker baseball team swept a doubleheader at Cazenovia on Tuesday and then swept all three games over the weekend against New Paltz. In Tuesday's doubleheader at Cazenovia, he drove in six runs and scored two. Against New Paltz on Friday, Mazzullo scored the game-tying run as part of a three-run eighth inning for the Lakers. He scored the only run in the second inning of Saturday's first game against the Hawks. In the nightcap, Mazzullo hit a two-run homerun to tie the game in the sixth after New Paltz plated two runs in the previous at-bat. He finished the week batting .333 with an .800 slugging percentage.

Miller made two appearances on the mound during the week. He tossed the first two innings of a 10-4 win over Cazenovia, allowing just one hit. In Saturday's seven-inning affair versus New Paltz, Miller went toe-to-toe with the Hawks' ace. During the game, he scattered five hits, walked one, and fanned seven, including two in seventh inning, to record the 1-0 shutout win.
