Heine Named AMCC Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona baseball's senior first baseman Cord Heine was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week on Monday.

Heine had a consistently strong performance at the plate last week, hitting .600 (9-for-15) in four games. He hit a double and tallied at least one RBI in each contest.

Heine totaled seven RBIs, scored seven runs, and added a triple to help the Lions go 3-1 in a pair of doubleheaders with Juniata College and Pitt-Bradford.

Heine's .406 batting average currently ranks third in the AMCC this season.
