Western New England receives votes in NCAA Division III Pre-Season Baseball Poll

Senior Matt Rogers posted a 10-1 record with a 3.46 ERA last year and made both the All-TCCC and NEIBA Division III Teams.
NCAA Division III Pre-Season Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.
- The Western New England baseball team received votes in the NCAA Division III Pre-Season Poll conducted by the Collegiate Baseball newspaper.

The Golden Bears were ranked 34th, which was the sixth highest showing from the New England region behind UMass-Boston (10th), Tufts (11th), Wheaton (22nd), Eastern Connecticut (26th), and Southern Maine (29th).

Last year Western New England posted a 34-12 record that was the second highest win total in the program's 42-year history. The Golden Bears tied for first in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with a 17-5 record and captured its fifth consecutive conference title and third TCCC crown.

Coach Matt LaBranche's team ended its outstanding season by tying for fifth among eight schools at the NCAA Division III New England Championship.

Western New England has played in the national tournament six of the last seven seasons and seven times since 2001.
