(WILMINGTON, OH)--Mount Union College’s baseball team opened the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of the 2009 schedule with a pair of wins Saturday at Wilmington College. The Purple Raiders rallied for an 11-10 win in eight innings in the opener then posted a 7-0 shutout in the nightcap.

The bus carrying the Mount Union College baseball team to Florida for the spring trip broke down and caught fire five miles south of the Florida border on Interstate 95 early Saturday morning. No one was injured but there was some damage to personal belongings and equipment on the bus. [ more ]
