Six tickets to the Championship were punched on Saturday, leaving two more available. In the New England regional, it is Bridgewater State taking on Western New England and in the Mid-Atlantic it is Kean playing Alvernia. Western New England and Alvernia will only need to win one game while their opponents will need two wins to advance.
Junior left-hander Ryan Zamorsky, who was sidelined since April with an injury, pitched a 5-3 complete game victory and advanced Kean to championship day on Sunday.
Zamorsky and Ron Guido were locked in a pitchers’ duel through the first five innings, as Zamorsky held Misericordia hitless and Guido allowed just one hit in the third inning. In the sixth inning Guido lost his control and allowed all of Kean's five runs, aiding Kean by walking three and throwing a wild pitch. Misericordia would trim the deficit to 5-3 in the top of the seventh would get no closer. In Kean's previous game, the Cougars scored four runs in the third inning and held off Johns Hopkins University, 6-5.

The eighth-seeded Bridgewater State Bears advanced to the
championship round of the New England Regional with a 6-3 win over
Wheaton (Mass.) for the first time since 2004 and sixth time
overall. Bridgewater State will face Western New England and will
need two wins to move on to the D-III Championship.
Jeff Puopolo yielded two earned runs with ten strikeouts and three
walks on ten hits in eight-plus innings with Jim Balboni coming in
in the ninth to pick up the save. The offense was led by Joshua
Ferreira who went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. The MVP of the series for
Bridgewater State, Corey Batista had a two run home run.
Before meeting Bridgewater State, Wheaton had some unfinished
business to take care of. The game between Wheaton and St. Joseph
(Maine) was suspended on Friday due to fog and was restarted in the
morning. Leading 2-0 in the seventh, Wheaton added a run to take a
3-0 lead on the Monks.
In the eighth, Saint Joseph's used three runs on three hits with
two Lyon errors to knot the game. The lead proved to be
short-lived, as Wheaton responded with a game-winning sac fly by
Eric Laliberte and an insurance run thanks to Eric Jensen's RBI
single.
