Day 3: And then there were four

Mark Williams got the call for Marietta and went seven innings, striking out 10.

Keystone and Chapman survived elimination games Sunday afternoon, with the centerpiece of the day seeing Marietta remaining undefeated, beating Buena Vista 5-1.

Marietta will play for the national title, no matter what. The Pioneers must play on Monday against Keystone, the proverbial "throwaway game," but is guaranteed to play for the national championship on Tuesday.

If the Pioneers win the throwaway game Monday, then someone must beat them twice on Tuesday to win the title. If they lose Monday, Tuesday's game becomes a winner-take-all.
