The Patriots rebounded from a 14-8 loss on Friday to win the series with 3-1 and 1-0 victories. In the early game, the Patriots appeared headed for defeat as Mississippi College's Ryan Glover held the Patriots hitless through five complete innings. Texas-Tyler offense finally found its groove in the bottom of the sixth and scored three runs, enough runs for Patriot starter Matt Schimpf. In the rubber game, Kory Cleveland ruled the day, tossing a complete game, eight strikeout performance to earn his seventh win of the season.

Sophomore pitcher Kyle Hart took the hill for No. 21 Redlands, matching his season-high eight innings while giving up only two runs on three hits against Cal Lutheran. Tufts ended up with three victories on Saturday after winning a game that was postponed because of darkness on Friday and then sweeping the regularly scheduled doubleheader against Colby in NESCAC East Division action at Coombs Field. With the series sweep, the Jumbos secureda spot in the upcoming conference tournament. Coach John Casey's Jumbos have not lost since returning from their spring break trip, and have won 12 in a row overall. The teams finished what they started on Friday by playing the 10th inning of the postponed game and 25th-ranked Tufts scored two runs to earn the 11-9 victory. The Jumbos then won 4-3 and 10-4 in the other contests.

Santiago went 6-for-9 with a double, three RBI and six runs scored on the day while Apostolo went 5-for-8 with a double, homer, five RBI and four runs scored.

Strong pitching made the difference for Pacific and Whitworth in their doubleheader as both teams received complete game wins to split their Northwest Conference baseball games at Chuck Bafaro Stadium. Pacific’s Rob Dittrick threw his fourth complete game of the season, allowing just four hits to earn his eighth win as the Boxers took the opener 2-0.  It was Whitworth’s Eric Anderson going the distance in the nightcap, throwing a three-hitter to give the Pirates an 8-2 win.

Senior Patrick Quinn pitched a complete-game shutout in Game 1 of a doubleheader for Salve Regina as the Seahawks split a TCCC twinbill with Endicott on a cold, windy day in Newport. Salve Regina won the opener, 4-0, before Endicott took the nightcap, 7-2.
