Ithaca has one-hittter in sweep

Ithaca ripped Keuka 13-1 and 9-2 in Tuesday's doubleheader. In
game one, Dan Lynch, faced just two batters over the minimum in his
five innings of work, combined with Chris Anderson and Pat Lemmo
for a one-hitter of Keuka. In the nightcap, Ithaca rallied to win
after the Storm scored twice in the top of the first, taking
advantage of five Keuka errors. A three-run second inning gave the
Bombers the lead for good. Weber, who finished with three hits and
three runs batted in, singled in a pair of runs to tie the game,
then stole second and scored the go-ahead run on a single by
Keller.
Sophomore righthander Zach Brown pitched six strong innings for
his third win of the season for Montclair State. With three
clutch two-out hits providin all of the offense, the Red Hawks
downed DeSales, 5-1 in MSU's home opener at Yogi Berra Stadium
on Tuesday afternoon.
Cortland rallied to win in its final at-bat twice as
the Red Dragons swept visiting Brockport, 5-4 and 4-3, in a SUNYAC
doubleheader. Cortland won the nine-inning opener on Nick Thode's
bases-loaded single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. In
the seven-inning second game, John Adornetto tied the game with a
two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh and the
winning run scored later in the inning on a wild pitch.

Lesley fell to Rivier in the Lynx first home game in program
history, 6-1, at Trum Field in non-league baseball play. Kyle
Bowser’s three-run home run in the seventh was the difference
maker, as it put the Raiders on top 6-1, more than enough for
starter Ford Coates, who struck out 14 and scattering six hits in
the complete game win.
Wesley used a two-run seventh to take the opener and got a
complete game from Jordan Lozzi in the second game to take a CAC
twinbill from Stevenson, 6-4 and 3-2.
Wheaton (Mass.) scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning
to snap a 3-3 tie and held on for a 6-4 win over
Clark in a crucial NEWMAC contest at Granger Field. Sean Munley
and Dan Gusovsky each had two hits for Wheaton, while Raad scored a
pair of runs and drove in two more. Brian Sullivan meanwhile went
4-for-5 at the plate with an RBI and Nickolas Kellogg was 3-for-5
for Clark.
Frostburg State put up its highest run and hit total of the
season in the first game of a doubleheader sweep of Juniata, taking
the first game 14-1 and pulling out a 5-4 win in extra innings
in the night cap. The Bobcats scored a season-high 14 runs on 15
hits to cruise to an opening game win but had to battle the Eagles
to take the second game in nine innings.
Kean
scored ten runs in defeating FDU-Florham, 10-4, in
non-conference action. Nick Zucchero earned the win in relief for
the no. 5 Cougars. Zucchero tossed two and a third innings
allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out two.
Offensively Gregory was 3-for-4 with an RBI, home run and three
runs scored.

Senior starting pitcher Jordon Watkins threw seven solid innings as Lynchburg defeated ODAC rival Hampden-Sydney 10-7. Watkins earned his third win on the season by giving up only three runs off seven hits and striking out three. Also hitting for the Hornets as the DH, he went 3-4 with a RBI and a walk.
Pat Kennedy earned his first win of the year by pitching a complete game four-hitter in the nightcap of Washington & Jefferson's doubleheader against Geneva at Ross Memorial Park. Kennedy’s effort helped W&J win 2-1 in the second game to earn a split after falling in the first game 4-3. The senior right-hander gave up one run, walked only one batter and struck out seven.
Messiah continued its torrid play Tuesday afternoon, blasting
no. 20 New Jersey by a 10-3 score at the Lions’ George
Ackerman Park. The Falcons, winners of eight straight games since
returning from their Florida spring break trip, took its second
contest against a Top 25 team in as many days, taking advantage of
five Lions’ errors.
Junior catcher Andrew Clements hit his first career home run in
game two to lead 19th-ranked Thomas More to a Presidents' Athletic
Conference doubleheader sweep of Bethany at Bethany Park. The
Saints won game one, 14-5, and the nightcap, 5-2.
