No rust for Schurlknight

Freshman southpaw Lee Schurlknight showed no signs of rust as he no-hit the Rust Bearcats. While Schurlknight was mowing down the Bearcats, the Sewanee offense was piling the runs up for a 19-0 win.
In the no-hit performance, Schurlknight worked the complete
seven-inning game, striking out twelve and allowing only two walks
to pick up his first win in a Sewanee uniform.
The Tigers jumped out to a quick lead by scoring six runs in the
top of the first inning and added eight more runs in the third en
route to the 19-0 win.
The 17-hit attack was led by Chris Mauro, Franklin Pogue and Colin
Barrera, who each had three hits in five trips to the plate.
Mauro’s effort included a home run, a double and six
RBI. Pogue drove in four runs while Scott Ward belted his
first home run of the season.
Sewanee prevailed 17-3 in the nightcap.
