McCallister pitches no hitter

Penn State-Abington has not found a lot of success in 2011 but
on Saturday March 5th, Matt McCallister was just what the doctor
ordered. In his second career start, the Nittany Lion's
freshman pitched the first no-hitter of the D-III season as Penn
State-Abington defeated Wilkes 4-0.
In the complete game effort, McCallister struck out 7 batters and
allowed one walk. McCallister evened his record to 1-1 and lowered
his ERA to 1.50. This is McCallister’s first collegiate
career shut-out.
McCallister, when not on the mound, is sharing the starting
shortstop duties with Enrique Meletiche and Mark McCouchon.
Penn State-Abington finished their stint at the Cal Ripken
Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a 1-3 record and
head north to play Methodist, N.C. Wesleyan and Washington &
Lee before their home opener against Lancaster Bible.
