Top 2 teams to meet this weekend

The Christopher Newport Captains have a lot to
celebrate and a sweep of Shenandoah could vault them into the top
spot in next weeks poll. |
For the second week in a row, Shenandoah, with 16 first place votes, finds themselves at the top of the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25. This weekend they will meet second ranked Christopher Newport for a pair of games that will be key in deciding the regular season title in the USA South. The Captains recieved six first place votes. Following the pair from the USA South are a pair from the OAC. Heidelberg drops to third from second and Marietta holds at fourth with one first place vote. Kean moves up one spot to fifth.
Texas-Tyler fell three places to sixth and recieved the remaining two first place votes. The Patriots are followed by two teams in the west, no. 7 Linfield and eighth ranked Chapman. UW-Stevens Point and UW-Whitewater returned this week from their spring trips to cancelled games at home and both lost two spots from their ranking last week.
UW-Oshkosh and Alvernia enter the poll this week with the Titans at no. 17 and the Crusaders at no. 25. Tufts and Mary Washington fell out of the poll this week.
