Aaron Dott struck out 11 and got 13 runs of support in a game one win over UW-Stevens Point Monday in Whitewater. The win clinched at least a share of the WIAC regular season title. A game two victory meant the Warhawks could have the title outright, accomplished with a 15-8 win to give UW-Whitewater its sixth outright title in the last eight years.

The Warhawks moved to number 8 in this weeks D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, finished the WIAC regular season with a 20-4 record, and earned the number one seed in the WIAC tournament beginning Friday, May 9 in Wisconsin at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids. More of Monday's scores.

In game one, UW-Whitewater got on the scoreboard early but the Pointer's would answer in the top of the third when a pitch from Aaron Dott squirted past the catcher to score Kyle Cummings. The Warhawks' five-run sixth settled the issue. Zalnis hit another solo home run in the inning and right fielder Joe Munn hit a two-run blast. The Warhawks scored three more runs in the bottom of the eighth to go up by 10 and end the game early by the run deficit rule. The win kept Dott perfect for the season with a record of 6-0. Zalnis went 4-5 driving in five runs and Stine went 3-4 driving in two.

After a three-run first inning by both teams in game two, UW-Whitewater put the bats to work to defeat the Pointers and clinch the WIAC title. In the second game Munn went 4-5 for the Warhawks, also scoring three times. Brandon Scheidler was 3-6, with three RBIs, to lead the Pointers.
